Class Description

PK1

3-6 mons.         Age req'd vacinations

Puppy socialization; intro to basic obedience; sit, down, come, stay, controlled walking. Q and A

PK2

6 mons.            Age req'd vacinations

Socialization continued; basic obedience; sit, down, come, stay, heel, stand. Q and A

Pre Novice

Basic obedience; all on leash; Preparation for competition or any advanced course. Improves on basic skills; increases bond and good attitude. Intro to off-leash heeling.

Rally 1

PK2 or ability to perform controlled walking

Using the basic skills with controlled walking, dog and handler can complete a course set-up with various required skills put together. Preparation for Rally Obedience competition.

Rally 2

Rally 1

Intermediate skills with off lead control; improves dog and handler coordination and bonding.

Rally 3

Rally 2

Advanced skills with off lead control; improves dog and handler coordination and bonding.

Novice

Pre Novice or Rally 2

Basic obedience performed off-lead; Competition conditioning; rules and procedures. Attention training.

BH

Dog must be able to perform off-lead heeling.

This is for the WDA, USA or SV obedience and temperament test. There is a walking sit and walking drop. With a 10 min honor.

Jumps and Retrieving

Dog must be able to perform off-lead heeling.

Intro to jumping and intro to retrieving items. You will need a proper fitting dumbbell. Dog will be sized the first night of class. Call FMI

Open

Dog must be able to perform off-lead heeling.

Polishing the Open requirements for competition. Heel off lead; drop on recall; retrieve on flat; retrieve over jump; sit (3min) and down(5 min) out of sight. Attention work continued.

Direction and Scent

Dog must be able to perform off-lead heeling.

Intro to giving your dog direction from a distance and sending your dog away from you to a set point. Scent discrimination; you will need 3 white cotton gloves; two set of articles six being metal the other six leather.

Utility

Dog must be able to perform off-lead heeling.

Polishing the Utility requirements; signals, directed sending, send away, scent discrimination and the walking stand.

KAD

min age 10; parent MUST be in attendance

This class is designed to enhance the relationship; instill responsibility, understanding, and a mutual respect. Basic obedience will be covered. Tricks and interactive games will be taught. Positive methods used to achieve success and build self confidence.
